Questions We Hear
How far is Bath from your warehouse?
About 11 miles, or roughly a 19-minute drive from Norton, so Bath is one of our closest service areas.
Our yard is wooded or sloped. Can you still set up?
Usually, yes. Inflatables need a fairly level open patch. The Themed Bounce House Combo needs about 20 x 25 feet and the 3-Hole Putt Putt about 20 x 30. Send us photos and we’ll tell you what fits.
Who can ride Angus McRodeo?
He’s built for young riders, ages 6 and under and below 50 pounds. He rocks gently inside his own inflatable corral, needs about 18 x 18 feet and uses two circuits.
What comes with the Carnival Craze Midway Mini?
Four classic midway games, two 10 x 10 carnival tents, two prize buckets with 300 prizes for up to 150 players, music, and a Game Craze attendant for two hours of play.
Can I choose the banner on the combo?
Yes. The Themed Bounce House Combo has swappable theme banners. Tell us the party theme when you book and we’ll check which banners are available for your date.
Do the games need power or a volunteer?
Monster Bug Throw and the 3-Hole Putt Putt need no power. The combo and Mini All-Star Basketball each need one circuit and a grown-up helper keeping riders in order.
An Eight-Sided Bee House and a Name Picked in a Hurry
A settler from Pennsylvania built his house on Wye Road around 1837. Off its northwest corner stands a two-story octagonal bee house, put up sometime before 1859. The Summit County Historical Society says it was believed to be the only one in the country at the time. His record book shows he wintered 13 swarms of bees there in 1858 and 1859.
The township's name has a story too. Two pioneer families were the first settlers, arriving in 1810. Surveyors had called the land Wheatfield, but people started calling it Hammondsburgh after one of those families. When the township organized in 1818, the naming debate dragged on until, as the township tells it, a member of the other founding family stood up and exclaimed, “O, call it Jerusalem, Jericho, Bath, or anything but Hammondsburgh!” The motion passed. The township jokes that the name, if nothing else, put Bath first on the county's alphabetical list of townships.
The family name lives on in Hammond's Corners, one of three historic hamlets along the old Center road, along with Bath Center and Ghent. The other founding family's home later became Hale Farm and Village, a living history museum. Bath began in Medina County and became part of Summit County when that county formed in 1840.
