Can the sky dancer go in the front yard?
Yes. The pink sky dancer stands about 20 feet tall and needs a 10 x 20 foot spot with about 22 feet of clearance and one circuit. Keep it clear of trees and wires.
What’s in the Backyard Bundle Classic?
A deluxe bounce house with a custom banner, a sno-cone machine with one flavor and 25 cones, a 10 x 10 pop-up tent, two tables, 16 chairs and a cornhole set.
Which pick suits younger kids?
The 15-foot dry slide is built for ages 4 to 13, and Princess Tiara Toss is an easy tabletop game for little ones. The Radical Run 30 and Hoop Zone are good for older kids.

The Radical Run 30 needs about 35 x 16 feet with 23 feet of height. Basketball Hoop Zone needs roughly 17 x 20 feet.

From Greenbriar to Pretty in Pink
The land was surveyed in 1806, and the first settler family arrived in 1816. In 1826 it was named Parma Township, which is why 2026 is the city's bicentennial. The regional history encyclopedia says the area was also known as “Greenbriar,” after a weedy shrub that grew nearby, and that the name Parma most likely came from a town of the same name in New York. Parma became a village in 1924 and a city in 1931.
Then there's the flamingo. Plastic lawn flamingos went on sale in 1957, and a local nursery sold plenty of them as Parma grew in the 1950s. Starting in 1963, the birds turned up in comedy skits by the late-night TV host known as Ghoulardi. Over the years, residents adopted the joke as their own. In 2025, City Council passed a resolution naming the pink flamingo the official city mascot. Parma now has two large flamingo sculptures, about 7 feet tall, one at Anthony Zielinski Park and one in the Quarry District.
For the bicentennial, the city declared June 23, 2026, Parma Pink Day. Residents wore pink and put flamingos out on their lawns, and the city also got approval to light Cleveland's Terminal Tower pink. A front-yard flamingo deserves a party to go with it, and we'll bring the rest.
