- How far do your trucks travel to New Franklin?
- It’s a quick trip. We load up in Norton, roughly 9 miles away, so most New Franklin drop-offs are a short drive. We confirm your delivery window after you book.
- Do you deliver to lake houses?
- Yes, as long as there’s a flat, open patch of lawn. We don’t set inflatables on docks, beaches or steep slopes down to the water, so tell us about the yard and we’ll find the right spot.
- What does the slip n slide need?
- A garden hose and room for a 30-foot run, plus one circuit. Tell us if you’re on well water, since it can stain the vinyl.
- Will the Deluxe Themed Combo fit my yard?
- The unit is about 22 by 19 feet and 13 feet tall. Plan on a 32 by 29 foot clear space with no overhead branches or wires.
- Can I get shade for a cookout by the lake?
- The 20 x 20 High Peak Frame Tent needs about 30 x 30 feet. We stake it on grass or use water barrels on pavement.
- How big is the Midway Mega carnival?
- It sets up 12 games under six 10 x 10 tents, so plan on a long stretch of lawn or a parking lot. Two of our attendants run it for three hours, and you pick games to suit the ages of your crowd.
Hey Y’all… Just a note to say “Thank you!” for the wonderful inflatables party, that you worked with me on, at the local school. Because of your diligence, everything went fantastic, from start to finish, from set up all the way to tear down! The students that participated in the party, really enjoyed themselves in a very fun, safe environment. Thank you again for a job well done!
The New Franklin Ballot
THREE LOCAL MEASURESKeep the name?
In November 2007, residents were asked whether to rename their new city Portage Lakes, after the lakes many people already call home. The proposal failed, roughly 57 percent to 42 percent, so the name New Franklin stayed. The city's own welcome page notes that some neighbors still say they live in Portage Lakes or Manchester, and it calls the place a community of neighborhoods.

Quiet town, busy water
A 2014 internet ranking once tagged New Franklin as one of the sleepiest places in Ohio. Residents shrugged and pointed at the water. Portage Lakes State Park is a 411-acre park spread around eight lakes, and the state park map shows the boat ramps, shoreline trails and the swimming beach on Turkeyfoot Lake. Boats, fishing lines and swimmers fill the summer.

From township to city
According to the city history page, Franklin Township was organized in 1817. After annexation attempts by a neighboring city chipped away at it, residents incorporated a small section as New Franklin Village in 1997. Voters approved merging the township and village in 2003, the merger took effect on January 1, 2005, and the combined village became the City of New Franklin on March 5, 2006.
