Neighborhood associations & block parties
Block Party Rentals for Akron Neighborhoods
Akron’s neighborhoods throw great parties, from Goodyear Heights church block parties to street gatherings in Wallhaven and Ellet. If your association or street is planning one, the City of Akron’s block party petition needs every fronting resident’s signature and a city fee, filed at least two weeks ahead. The party has to be open to the whole block. We’ll send your association board a certificate of insurance and set up on the closed street or a member’s lawn.

Akron Party Rental FAQ
| Which Akron ZIP codes do you deliver to? | All of them, from downtown 44308 and Highland Square 44303 to Ellet 44312, Firestone Park 44301 and the Merriman Valley. Akron is about 10 minutes from our Norton base. |
|---|---|
| Can I put a bounce house at an Akron city park shelter? | Only with permission. The City of Akron doesn’t allow tents, inflatables or sound equipment on park grounds without an approved permit from its Community Events Division, so check with Recreation & Parks before you book a shelter. |
| What about Summit Metro Parks? | Summit Metro Parks prohibits personal inflatables at its shelters, and rental companies may need a Special-Use Permit and a certificate of insurance. Call the park district before planning one there. |
| Can you work with our school or church paperwork? | Yes. We’re an approved vendor with a number of area schools, and we send certificates of insurance to districts, churches, hospitals and the City of Akron when a permit requires it. |
| How far ahead should we book? | Summer weekends around Lock 3 festivals and graduation season go first. Book as early as you can, and allow extra time for any city permit. |

One Akron story
About Akron
They call it the Rubber City, and Goodyear still has its headquarters here. Akron’s neighborhoods keep the party spirit going: Highland Square’s neighborhood association runs the PorchROKR music festival every August, and Goodyear Heights sits beside the 410-acre Goodyear Heights Metro Park. Downtown, the Lock 3 season fills summer weekends with about 110 events, and the All-American Soap Box Derby holds its race week at Derby Downs each July. When your street, school your street or congregation joins in, we bring the rentals.
