Terms, Plainly Stated

§1How long is the drive to Brecksville?

Our Norton warehouse is about 23 miles away, roughly a half-hour drive. You’ll get a delivery window when you book.

§2Can you set up at a park pavilion?

Often, yes. Parks set their own rules about inflatables, power and vehicles, so get the permit first and send us the details. We’ll plan around them.

§3Do any picks work without power?

The 6-Hole LED Putt Putt needs zero circuits. The slide, obstacle course, Junior Sports Games and Baseball Swing each need one circuit, or you can add a generator.

§4What ages fit each pick?

The 40-foot obstacle course is listed for ages 5 to 13. The 18-foot slide and Baseball Swing run from age 7 through adults. Mini golf works for every age.

§5How much space should I clear?

Plan on about 50 x 22 feet for the obstacle course, 20 x 30 feet for the slide, 12 x 30 feet for the mini golf, 26 x 14 feet for Junior Sports Games and 15 x 15 feet for Baseball Swing.

§6Who runs the Country Craze midway?

A Game Craze attendant comes with the package, along with four country-themed games, two carnival tents, 300 prizes and music.

The Deed, the Mayor and the Woods

The Absent Owner

A colonel and several partners bought this land in 1807, according to the city's history page. A surveyor came back in 1811 to settle and serve as the colonel's land agent. The colonel never lived in the town named for him, but his three sons did. The last of the family to live here, a doctor, practiced medicine in the family home on the square until he died in 1934.

Nine Terms

One mayor was elected to nine consecutive four-year terms, the only one to do so since Brecksville became a village. He retired on January 1, 2024, after 55 years of service to the city, including his time as mayor. The new mayor was sworn in the next day.

A Third Parkland

The city notes that about one-third of its 19.54 square miles is parkland, including Cleveland Metroparks and the neighboring Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Brecksville Reservation is the largest Metroparks reservation, at over 4,300 acres. The regional history encyclopedia notes that the national park lies on the city's eastern border.
