Workplace PartiesRider Questions
How far do you travel to Maple Heights?
We load at our Norton warehouse, a little over 30 miles south. Weekend dates fill first, and we confirm your delivery window when you book.
Who runs the mechanical snowboard?
The ride comes with our operator, and a second crew member helps with setup and teardown. Riders balance as the board tilts and spins, no snow needed.
Can I rent just the roulette table for a game night?
Yes. The table needs no power and pairs well with our other casino tables for fundraisers and adult parties.
Do sky dancers need electricity?
Yes, one circuit each, plus a 10 x 20 foot area with about 22 feet of clearance above.
What comes with the It’s a Boy yard greeting?
Blue IT’S A BOY letters, numbers for the weight, a stork standup, 12 balloon signs and stakes, all set up on your lawn.
How big does the foam party get?
Foam can stack up to about six feet high across an area up to 40 x 40 feet. A trained operator runs the cannon and a speaker plays music.
The employees that came out we’re friendly and provided an exciting atmosphere for our event.
Maple Heights by the Numbers
A name from the trees
Before it was a city, this corner of Bedford Township was called Maple Grove. The Encyclopedia of Cleveland History says Maple Heights was named for its many maple trees. Some local stories credit land developers with planting the trees to draw home buyers, but the records we checked don't confirm that.
A vote to stay independent
In 1914, with annexation by neighboring Bedford Village looking likely, Maple Grove residents voted to form their own community. Maple Heights became a village of about 1,000 people in July 1915 and a city on January 1, 1932.
The city's own buses
According to the Ohio Museum of Transportation, the village put four city-owned buses on the road in 1935. They ran direct to Public Square and on a crosstown route to the Shaker rapid, and the same fleet carried kids to school. The service later joined RTA, first by agreement in 1975 and fully in 2005.
