Castle Combo, Obstacle Course & Party Rentals in Berea, OH
On September 27, 1836, settlers choosing a name for their post office wrote “Tabor” on one side of a half dollar and “Berea” on the other. The town’s founding settler called heads, and Berea won the toss. Planning a party here doesn’t have to come down to luck. Game Craze lays out the options by party type, then delivers, sets up and picks up everything.

A name by coin toss
The settlement’s minister favored Berea, a place named in the Book of Acts, over Tabor. The toss settled it, and that same minister became the first postmaster.
The grindstone business
The founding settler turned sandstone along the Rocky River into grindstones, and “Berea stone” became world famous. Quarry stone went into buildings across the United States and abroad.
The quarries move in
The pits grew so large they displaced the original main street and pushed Baldwin University to a new campus. That school is today’s Baldwin Wallace University.
Quarry lakes and a festival
Old pits now hold Coe, Baldwin and Wallace Lakes, and the city still celebrates its stone with a Grindstone festival each July 4th weekend.
Event went great, all compliments from our staff on how the day went. All your staff was friendly, courteous and interacted with the students wonderful.
