One City, Seven Old Villages
Before it was a city, Norton Township was a patchwork of seven small settlements, each with its own crossroads. According to Norton’s history, they were:
Loyal Oak sat at Route 261 and Cleveland-Massillon Road, Western Star at Greenwich and Medina Line Roads, and New Portage near Wooster Road and Norton Avenue. Plenty of those names still turn up on Norton maps, street signs and neighborhood chatter, so whichever corner of town you’re throwing the party in, we know the way.
A Rubber Family’s Farm, Still Working
The family that started the Goodyear tire and rubber company in 1898 kept a farm in Norton, and it is still in operation today on Greenwich Road at Knollbrook Drive. More than a century after the tire business took off in Akron, the fields out here are still being worked, and Norton still feels like the country edge of Summit County.

Norton Party Rental FAQ
Do Norton parties get free delivery?
Yes. Our warehouse is on Summit Road in Norton, so there’s no delivery charge for events inside the city. Neighboring towns are a short hop too; send your address and we’ll confirm.
Which ZIP code do you use for Norton?
Most Norton addresses are 44203, a ZIP shared with Barberton. Whichever side of the line your street falls on, enter it on the quote form and we’ll check your date.
Can a bounce house go up at Columbia Woods Park?
Only with the city’s OK. Norton’s park rules say no one may put up equipment in a park without approval from the Director of Public Service. Shelters are reserved through the city at 330-825-7815, and we’ll send the insurance certificate the city asks for.
Do you handle Norton City Schools events?
Yes. The school or PTO gets a certificate of insurance with its name on it, and our attendants can run each attraction. For events on district property, start with the district facility rental page.
When should we book around Cider Festival weekend?
As soon as you know your date. The first weekend in October is one of the busiest in town, and church and school fall events stack up around it.
