Mansfield Has Always Known How to Have Fun

The Fun Center of Ohio

Mansfield’s official nickname is “The Fun Center of Ohio,” and plenty of people know it by its other one too:

The Fun Center of OhioCarousel Capital of Ohio

1991Richland Carrousel Park opened downtown on August 31, 1991, the first newly hand-carved wooden carousel built in the United States since the 1930s.

52hand-carved figures: horses plus bears, ostriches, cats, rabbits, a giraffe, a zebra, a lion, a tiger and a mythical sea-horse.

18,000riders took a spin on opening weekend, and every figure was carved and painted right here in Mansfield.

A town that built itself a carousel is a town that likes a midway, so we bring one to you.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Incredibly professional! I rented the rock wall and obstacle course for last year's party and the kids had a blast... all the attendees were incredibly nice and competent. Jennifer was a pleasure to work with, as well! I would rate them 6/5 if I could. Hiring them again for this year's party and added the bungy cord thingamajig.... cannot wait!!!!

Mansfield Park Party Checklist

Mansfield Park Rules for Party Rentals

Mansfield has 21 city parks. These have pavilions that work for a party, per Mansfield Parks and Recreation.

North Lake Park625 Hope Rd. Pavilion with a kitchen, splash pad and pond.

Sterkel Park790 Hollywood Ln., off Lexington Ave. Large outdoor pavilion and an all-abilities playground.

Johns Park591 Johns Ave. Pavilions, splash pad and soccer field.

Before you book a park

Reserve in person at the South Park office, 100 Brinkerhoff Ave. No phone reservations, and you must be 21 or older.
Reservations aren’t taken from October 15 to May 15, or more than 12 months ahead.
No stakes of any kind in the ground in any park, so inflatables would need sandbags.
No alcohol, and everyone must be out of the park by 10 p.m.
The city suggests groups carry liability insurance and send a certificate of insurance 7 days before the event.

The city’s park rules and special activity form don’t mention inflatables by name, so ask Mansfield Parks before you book. If they approve, we’ll bring sandbags and a COI.

Mansfield Party Rental FAQ

Do you deliver to every Mansfield ZIP code?

Yes. We deliver to Mansfield 44902 through 44907, plus Ontario, Lexington, Madison Township, Bellville and the rest of Richland County. Put your address on the quote form and we’ll confirm.

Mansfield is about an hour from you. Is that a problem?

No. Our crew drives down from Norton, about an hour away on I-71, and we plan the trip ahead of time so everything is set up before your guests arrive. Bigger events and multi-attraction orders are where the drive makes the most sense. Book early so we can lock in your date.

Can we put a bounce house in a Mansfield city park?

Ask Mansfield Parks first. Facilities are reserved in person at the South Park office, 100 Brinkerhoff Ave., and the city’s special activity form says no stakes may go in the ground in any park. The city’s pages don’t mention inflatables by name, so ask before you book. We can bring sandbags and a certificate of insurance if the city approves.

Do you work with Richland County schools and PTOs?

Yes. We work with schools and PTOs across the area. We send the school or PTO a certificate of insurance (COI) naming them, and our attendants can run the attractions.

What rentals work best for a festival or fair-style event?

Pick a mix: one big inflatable that moves a line (like an obstacle course), a couple of carnival games, a head-to-head game like the Gladiator Joust, and concessions. Tell us your crowd size and we’ll suggest a layout and how many attendants you need.

Also near Mansfield: Ashland, Wooster, Orrville and Medina. We also deliver to Ontario, Lexington, Bellville, Shelby and Lucas. Find more at Destination Mansfield.
